Biometric Informatics Toolkit

(BIT)

The BIT toolkit is a suite of computer vision algorithms that are purpose-built for applications in quantifying livestock conformation and morphology. Heavily inspired by time tested approaches to livestock evaluation, the BIT toolkit uses projective geometry to break down complex morphological features into fully interpretable and reliable 1D morphometrics with statistical properties that are optimally-suited for use in downstream analyses. As a result, the BIT toolkit can efficiently break down complex structural traits into a series of angles and proportions using the same mental rules and conventions that our livestock judging coaches drilled into our heads.

Livestock Informatics Toolkit

(LIT)

The LIT toolkit is a suite of interpretable machine learning algorithms built specifically for applications with precision livestock technologies. Optimized for knowledge discovery over prediction, using the power of AI to detect and enhance the visual display of complex patterns within a range of data streams. By infusing these algorithms with the fundamental principles of animal biology and behavior patterns can be efficiently detected without the massive training dataset, allowing for customized insights for even the smallest farms. This provides farmers a means to engage with their data and extract insights that are uniquely suited to your unique farm environment.
